COMET C2012 S1 (ISON) - The Comet of the Century?

What is Comet ISON?

Eastern European and Russian astronomers announced the new comet on September 24 2012.

Vitali Nevski from Belarus and Artyom Novichonok from Russia spotted the comet on CCD images obtained on September 21 with a 0.4-m f/3 Santel reflector of the International Scientific Optical Network (ISON) near Kislovodsk, Russia. Discovery was extremely faint and Comet magnitude was 18.8.

It could become brighter than Comet Ikeya-Seki. It was greatest comet of the last century (1965).

On this site you can follow development of a comet ISON C/2012 S1.

I Astrophotograph the comet on a weekly basis and add all images on to site. In the beginning I am forced to use the rented (Deep Space) equipment. When the comet comes closer to the Earth I use my own equipment's too.
